It's Raining...

... not just the normal ho-hum rain, but the type of rain that makes the outside dark, the buildings shake, and the power flicker (I hope the power goes out so I can go home!). I'm still at work and I love the sounds of the rain pounding on the metal roof - it's one of my favorite sounds ever!

It reminds me of Kennewick rains, when it would rain so hard that it would fill up the drainage ditch in front of our house in minutes. All the neighbors would be standing in their open front doors watching the rain. Kennewick didn't have the great thunder and lighting that we get here in New England... I love the storms here! Though I do miss the smell of the sagebrush after a rain storm... I can almost smell it now!

And, just like that... the rain has stopped. At least it added a little excitement to my Friday afternoon. Now, for the commute home...

I miss those Nebraska thunder and lightening storms. Thanks for helping bring back the memories!
